His ideas helped shape the modern electrical world, and many of the technologies we use every day are based on his discoveries. If electricity had a superhero, it would definitely be Tesla.

His Superpower: Seeing the Future

Tesla had a unique ability: he could design entire machines in his mind. He didn’t need blueprints or prototypes. He claimed he could imagine a machine, “run” it mentally, identify problems, and improve it before it was even built. It was as if he had a supercomputer inside his head!

The War of the Currents

At the end of the 19th century, the famous “War of the Currents” broke out. On one side was Thomas Edison, who advocated for direct current (DC). On the other was Tesla, who believed in alternating current (AC). AC could transmit electricity over much greater distances with fewer losses. Today, nearly all of the world’s electrical grids are based on Tesla’s ideas.

The Tesla Coil

The famous Tesla coil produces impressive electrical discharges that resemble artificial lightning. It is based on electromagnetic induction, a phenomenon that allows for the conversion and transmission of electrical energy. The photos of Tesla standing among massive lightning bolts have become legendary.
The Man Who Dreamed of Wi-Fi
More than a century ago, Tesla envisioned wireless energy transmission, wireless communication, global information networks, and portable communication devices. Many of these ideas bear a striking resemblance to today’s internet and smartphones.

Why Is He a Physicomics Superhero?

Tesla didn’t wear a cape, he didn’t fly, and he didn’t have supernatural powers. But he could envision technologies that the rest of the world would see decades later. His imagination was so far ahead of his time that many considered him a dreamer. Today, we consider him a pioneer.

Nikola Tesla proved that sometimes the most powerful superpowers are imagination, creativity, and the persistence to pursue ideas that others consider impossible. ⚡🔬🚀

Nikola Tesla: The Master of Electricity Nikola Tesla (1856–1943) was one of the most brilliant inventors of all time.
